Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This policy explains what information Thebaseballbash (thebaseballbash.com) collects when you visit, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain English on purpose.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, chosen subject and message. When you sign up for our newsletter, the form collects the details it asks for, usually your name and email.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and the tools we use record basic technical data, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, the page that sent you here, and the date and time of your visit.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We and our partners use them to keep the site working, understand how it's used and serve ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, though some features, like ads and analytics, may behave differently.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which stories people read and how they find us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, time on page and general location. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising and Revive Adserver

We display ads through Revive Adserver. The ad server and the advertisers it works with may use cookies or similar tools to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure whether ads are shown. We don't sell your contact form or newsletter details to advertisers.

Newsletter form provider

Our newsletter signup is hosted by Sphere CRM. When you submit that form, your details go to that provider so we can send you the newsletter. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

Third-party links and headlines

Our stories and headline lists link to other websites, including MLB.com, FanGraphs and Baseball America. We don't control those sites, and their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies before sharing information with them.

How we use information

Your rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell personal information for money. To opt out of ad-related sharing, adjust your cookie settings or contact us.

Visitors in the EU, UK and similar regions (GDPR). You can ask to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, object to or limit how we process it, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, reach us through the contact page. We'll respond within the time the law requires.

Children

We write about youth baseball for parents and coaches. The site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Data retention and security

We keep messages and newsletter details only as long as we need them for the purposes above. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website can promise perfect security.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
